What you see today is the beginning of a two year initiative to launch and grow a digital news portal that is open to the community...that means you. We want to create a more open environment for local residents like you, people who recognize there are stories that aren't being covered that should be covered in Everett and the surrounding area. The Everett Post won't be fully developed in one month or even one year, but as we grow, you'll notice more and more content: local news, local information, and a new place to learn about the world around you. And, we're forging new partnerships with leading news organizations like ABC News.
The Everett Post replaces the static websites for our radio stations: Fox Sports 1380 AM and Classic Country 1520 AM. We hope you'll join us...a locally operated, locally owned organization that is fully invested in the community we share and call home. Send us story ideas. Include us in press releases. We'll take reports from neighborhood and community groups. We're looking for community members who realize this portal can be used to promote arts, charities, and events, and for people who have devoted their lives to topics and want to share their passion for what they do by writing within their field of expertise. We also intend to add full-time staff to seek out original news content - whether it's at City Hall or in your back yard. A few talented individuals will also get to take their ideas to the airwaves through the magic of broadcast - over-the-air, and on-line.
We're pretty sure you have ideas for what's missing in our area. Send us an email. Tell us about it. Call us at 425-304-1381 x 102. We're building our newsroom, and we have no preconceived notions about what the Everett Post should be, so we want to hear from you, now, today! You're with us at the ground floor. The digital future is bright, and we have several fun surprises in store for you as we grow. Contact us. We mean it!
