NEW MARYSVILLE BUSINESS OPENS:

COASTAL EMPLOYS DOZENS IN FORMER KMART BUILDING

MARYSVILLE, WA. Coastal has finalized rennovating the former Kmart building in Marysville, Washington. The store has hired over 40 local employes and is now open with an official grand opening scheduled for early March.

Coastal operates seventeen stores across Washington and Oregon and is one of the largest farm and ranch companies in the Pacific Northwest. Nearby stores include Mount Vernon, Sequim, Auburn, Wenatchee and Yakima.

“We’ve been expanding into the Western Washington market for the past half-dozen years and have been looking for the right opportunity in the Marysville area for the past few years,” commented Operations Manager Byron Baule. “What makes Marysville so attractive, is that the city and surrounding area are a unique combination of a thriving farm and rural community, balanced with a strong urban center. We’re excited about the current environment and future growth of the Marysville market”, continued Baule. “We’re here to stay.”

Coastal employs over 750 people including approximately 40 new people in the Marysville store.

The new Coastal store carries over fifty thousand products. The store includes a main sales floor area of over 50,000 square feet, along with an additional 20,000 square foot yard with fencing, livestock handling and other equipment.

“The best way to describe our store is that about one third of the store is dedicated to clothing, with another third being a combination of hardware, tools, welding, heating and automotive, and the balance filled with animal health, farm equipment, tack, feed and supplements. It’s the kind of store you have to experience first hand. We really have something for everyone”, Baule commented.

The new store carries name brand western, footwear and fashion labels. The boot department features over 2,000 pair of boots, from top manufacturers including Danner, Justin, Georgia, Double-H and LaCrosse. The store’s clothing department features one of the largest Wrangler and Carhartt selections in the Northwest. There are separate departments for men, women and children.

The new Marysville store also features a complete sporting goods department, complete with guns, ammo, hunting, fishing and camping supplies.

The store’s Hearth & Home Department features 24 working stoves and fireplaces from Quadra-Fire, Eco-Choice, Heat & Glo, Vermont Castings and Harman, including wood, pellet and gas options. “We believe the working stoves and fireplaces gives customers a better feel for what a particular stove will look like and how it might feel in there home,” said Baule. “We have a large stone fireplace as the centerpiece in the Clothing Department that gives customers a place to stop, relax and visit.”

The new store features the area’s largest supply of Liberty Home Security Safes in sizes of 23 to 50 cubic feet.

Dog, cat, horse, chicken and cow owners will now find a complete animal health department for animals of all sizes. The store features livestock feeds from Nutrena and Purina along with pet food from Science Diet, Blue Buffalo, Diamond and Merrick. There is a large tack and grooming department with saddles, bridles, and riding supplies.

“We are excited to be part of Marysville and Snohomish County. We look forward to supporting the people, schools and farms of this area,” concludes Baule.”

The store’s official grand opening celebration in early March will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, local FFA and 4H fundraisers, high school bands and cheerleaders, Over $15,000 in Grand Opeing prizes and a community bar-b-que.
