ON THE NEXT PREP SPORTS WEEKLY:

Tom Lafferty & Steve Willits will talk with Grant Zimmerman, he's the Glacier Peak sophomore that referees high school soccer games. Speaking of soccer, we'll have three local soccer players in studio: Jordan Miller of Snohomish, Camron Miller of Glacier Peak and Matt Williams of Archbishop Murphy. They are three of the best players in the area; they play on possibly the three best teams in the area; and they all play on the same select team. We'll wrap-up the show with a lively Coaches Carousel featuring a gaggle of baseball coaches; the NW District playoffs are getting underway this week. Also an update from the Everett Rowing Association, it seems “our boys” had some success at a regatta last weekend in Victoria.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Next week we will meet Bryan King. He's an 18-year old Center for the Everett Silvertips and attends Everett High School. This Golden Colorado native is on track to be Valedictorian at Everett High School with a 4.00 GPA. We'll talk hockey, but from the high school student-athlete perspective. UPDATE: Bryan King was named Scholastic Player of the Year at Wednesday's Western Hockey League Awards Banquet in Calgary.
