​In a long-awaited move, the Evergreen branch of the Everett Public Library will be closed from Christmas Eve of this year at 3:00 pm, through "late 2019" for renovations. All staff, programs and services will relocated to the main branch on Hoyt.

Through New Year’s Day, a giant wreath covered in green bulbs will hang outside each of the five Marysville Fire District stations. The green bulbs will change to red whenever there is a structure fire within the Fire District.
