Update in May Murder on 12th and Broadway

Since the death of 62 year-old Jay Agostinelli in the 1200 block of Broadway Ave on May 24, 2018, Major Crimes detectives have worked to solve the case. Through investigation, an image of a male near the Broadway location was obtained.

​The temporary lights in place have been up since November 2018, but the new, permanent lights will go into use this weekend.

Additional minor improvements will be installed later in 2019, including signs, an asphalt landing on the south side of the intersection and permanent median islands. The crosswalk is part of a larger project also coming later in the year.

Time to Stop Resetting the Safety Sign on Hwy 2

The Legislature has now allotted funds, $18.9m, for 4-to-6-foot wide medians along the center of the dangerous twelve-mile stretch, as well as rumble strips. The project is due to launch in the Spring on 2019 and wrap up in the Fall of 2020.

Suspects Arrested in Murder of Local Man

On Jan. 10, 2019 at approximately 2:00 a.m. Everett Police Major Crimes detectives arrested a 33- year-old Everett woman in connection with this case. The woman was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Murder 2nd Degree.
