Initially, thefts were not reported. However, as they continued, reports were filed and Property Crimes detectives worked with victims, the Port of Everett and local businesses to identify two suspects.

The Lynnwood Police Department handed out 185 speeding tickets during its pedestrian safety campaign in the month of September. The campaign was focused on addressing violations within school zones and in areas with active road construction.

Youth E-Cigarette Use on the Rise, Including Middle Schoolers

From 2017 to 2018, e-cigarette use for high schoolers jumped from 11.7% to a whopping 20.8%, and for middle schoolers 3.3% up to 4.9%. In the same period, no other areas of tobacco/nicotine products increased, only the vaping.

Locals gathered on social media to try to find a missing woman, who printed what appears to be a suicide note on a footpath near Lowell. She has reportedly been contacted successfully since.
