Everett Finally Shares Press Release on 25th and Lombard Fire

Last Wednesday, a structure caught fire on 25th and Lombard, killing one. The victim has been transported to the Snohomish County Medical Examiners office, in the hopes of identifying him/her. The press release, unfortunately, leaves more questions than answers.

From the City:

Everett Fire responded to 2524 Lombard Avenue Wednesday night at 10:05 pm for a reported structure fire. First units arrived to find a small-detached dwelling on the alley side with heavy fire conditions. The fire was under control at 10:17 pm.

Fire crews searched the building and found one victim deceased in the living room area where most of the fire was located.

Investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the fire. Everett Police responded and to the scene and are handling the death investigation.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has taken the victim to their office and will be verifying the identity of the victim.

The Red Cross responded to support the family members arrived on scene.

As the investigation to the origin and cause of this fire become available, an update will be released
