Funko HQ Is Finally Opening In The Jet City – Everett

The EverettPost.com, FOX Sports Radio KRKO 1380 AM & 95.3 FM, and Classic Country KXA 1520 AM & 101.1 FM were amongst the first media outlets allowed special access to Media Day at the new Funko Headquarters in downtown Everett.

Funko Headquarters, located on Hewitt Avenue, will be home to office space accommodating approximately 300 employees on upper floors, a lounge, bar, bowling alley and gym for employees below ground, an interactive retail store for a constant stream of fans (or Funatics) on the main floor.

The retail store, which is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, allows fans to immerse themselves into the worlds of Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and more. Fans can take advantage of picture opportunities in the Batmobile, stepping inside the jail cell with Batman’s villains, exploring the terrain of Planet Hoth, and breaking up a battle between Hulk and Iron Man’s Hulkbuster.

Additionally, the Funko HQ store will feature a newly designed “Pop! Factory”, which will enable visitors to build their own custom Pop! vinyl figure, as well as “Funko University”, an area of the store dedicated to teaching and mentoring young students in the skills of drawing, sculpting and toy design.

The Company will host a grand opening event on Saturday, August 19th which will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. PT with Everett Mayor, Ray Stephanson and continue throughout the day with a street fair featuring live musical performances, games, exclusive giveaways, food trucks and appearances by special guests.

As of Friday afternoon, Funatics, casual fans, and curious alike have already started lining up for Saturday’s Grand Opening.
