More Medical Care Available For Everyone In Everett

Medical and dental care in Everett and Snohomish County is becoming more accessible, as Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) opens its seventh location offering Medical Primary Care and Walk-In Care. The newest Everett-Central location is located at 4201 Rucker Avenue in Everett and there will be an Open House for the public on Thursday, January 18th from 12pm to 4pm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1pm. This will be an opportunity for families to meet providers and staff, take tours of the new facility, and learn about the services available from CHC.

Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) is a non-profit provider of primary medical, dental and pharmacy services. Founded in 1983, CHC serves the health needs of county residents who face barriers to health care. Their mission is to serve our diverse community with compassionate, accessible and affordable primary health care. In 2017 alone, CHC saw 53,000 individual patients: 60% Medical and 40% Dental.

Being a Federally Qualified Health Center, CHC provides services to anyone who needs health care regardless of their situation. They have an Outreach Dept., referral programs and sliding fee schedules to help patients with services and resources. They also have a Behavioral Health program available to help those who are struggling with addiction problems.

Community Health Center of Snohomish County found the need to serve in the community was growing fast. The five clinics were operating at max capacity, with 22% of medical appointments taking greater than 14 days to schedule an appointment. With 34% of the population in Everett considered low income and less than half (47%) of the low-income population obtaining medical care, CHC saw the need to increase the locations to be more accessible.

The Everett-College Clinic opened in November and is located on Everett Community College campus, but open to all in the community to serve the north Everett area with Medical Primary Care (Family Practice). The new Everett-Central Clinic opening on January 22 is located on 4201 Rucker Ave will have Medical Primary Care (Family Practice, OB) and Medical Walk-In.

There are now seven clinics from north to south county: Arlington, four in Everett (including the newest Everett-College and Everett-Central clinics), Lynnwood and Edmonds. All the clinics have Medical, Dental and Pharmacy at each location except for Everett-College Clinic and Everett-Central Clinic, which has Medical.

For any questions and/or to get assistance, you can reach Community Health Center of Snohomish County at 425-789-3789, or online at
