Chilling: Consider the NSA Is Warehousing All Your Email. Is It Possible?

EverettPost.com Staff

We originally started seeing articles about this circulating in August.  However, this eight minute video on the New York Times website has been gaining traction.  The allegation is that the NSA is building a data collection facility in Bluffdale, Utah and the sole purpose of the facility is to collect the electronic communications of every American and save that for up to 100 years.  According to the eyewitness in the video, a former NSA cryptologist, this data collection is going on now.  Why would the NSA conduct this kind of data collection on every American?  The assertion is that as long as the NSA or other agencies don't 'look' at the information, their interpretation of the law allows them to collect everything that is available electronically.  Later, with probable cause, presumably any government enforcement agency, IRS, FBI, or others, can then harvest all the personal emails and data collected from you over your lifetime, and use that to build a comprehensive profile of your entire life that can be used against you.  The story appears to be gaining traction, and is worth following.
