Prep Sports Weekly, Thursday, March 21, 2019. We begin with Lake Stevens Softball, head coach Sarah Hirsch, along with players Rachael Eichenberger, Kaylie Hoskins and Avery Henderson. Then we catch up with former Kamiak girls basketball star Paisley Johnson; she's leading her BYU Cougars into the NCAA Women's Tournament first round game against the Auburn Tigers; we catch her live from Palo Alto, California. Then it's Kamiak Boys Swimming with head coach Chris Erickson and his swimmers Slava Gilszmer, Maxwell Fang, Alex Kirby and our Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month for February 2019 Vlad Gilszmer. The four swimmers won the state 4A title in the 400 freestyle relay; plus Vlad won the 500 freestyle and his twin brother Slava took second place. We finish with Mountlake Terrace head boys basketball coach Nalin Sood, he's the president of the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association, and their All-State basketball games are this weekend at Curtis High School in University Place.
