Marysville residents are asked to be extra vigilant in reporting suspicious activity after a series of recent fires on the campus of Pinewood Elementary.
All three fires are believed to have been intentionally set.

From the City of Marysville:

On May 19, just after 5:30 a.m., Marysville Fire District firefighters extinguished a small fire in a green recycling bin near the gym area of the
school at 5115 84th St NE. Then on May 21, just after 2:15 a.m., firefighters responded to another fire inside a dumpster outside the
school. They also extinguished a smoldering fire in a nearby portable restroom. On May 23, at approximately 4:30 a.m., firefighters responded to
another dumpster fire at the school, in the same dumpster that previously burned.

No injuries were reported in any of these fires. One of the fires did cause additional minor damage to a school building. Marysville Police are actively
investigating all three incidents.

We urge all residents to report any suspicious activities on school campuses or elsewhere, especially in the late evening or early morning hours. If
you see a fire, call 911 immediately.
