EVERETT, AUG. 30: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, in partnership with over 20 dedicated community organizations, are thrilled to announce the tremendous success of the recent Back-to-School Celebration at the Everett Boys & Girls Club.
The event, which was open to the public, took place at the Everett Boys & Girls Club on 8/29 from 4pm to 7pm and was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and support from the community. Thanks to the generous contributions of our partners and volunteers, we were able to distribute over 500 fully stocked backpacks filled with essential school supplies to local students.
In addition to the school supplies, the day featured a range of activities designed to engage and support our youth. Attendees enjoyed delicious meals, participated in exciting STEM and other educational activities, and received free haircuts, among other services.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the following organizations whose support made this event truly exceptional:
- Buffalo Wild Wings: Provided meals for the entire community, ensuring that everyone could enjoy a delicious and satisfying lunch.
- Pfizer & Their Employees: Donated over 250 fully stocked backpacks and thousands of additional school supplies, greatly enhancing our supply distribution.
- Comcast: Funded STEM activities that added a special touch to the Back-to-School celebration, enriching the educational experience for all attendees.
- Mill Town Credit Union: Contributed supplies and participated in our packing day. They were also on-site with engaging activities and exciting prizes.
- Affordable Housing Connection: Funded this and other important initiatives, demonstrating their commitment to community support and development.
- Walmart: Generously provided over 100 fully stocked bags, further boosting our supply efforts.
- Pepsi: Supplied beverages to keep everyone refreshed throughout the day.
- Boeing Employees: Donated hundreds of supplies through their Lift Off for Learning Program, significantly impacting our school supply distribution.
- Mill Creek Rotarians: Contributed funds and supplies to enhance the contents of the students’ backpacks.
The Back-to-School Celebration was not only a day of preparation for the upcoming school year but also a wonderful opportunity for community members to come together, fostering connections and creating lasting memories.
