At approximately 8:30 am this morning, Law Enforcement agencies throughout  Snohomish County were advised that a Mukilteo resident in crisis indicated they intended to die by suicide in a school parking lot somewhere within the county, according to the Arlington Police Department.

After the initial warning, the location of the subject in crisis was not known. This resulted in the Arlington School District initiating a “lockout” protocol while the Arlington Police began patrolling Arlington schools out of an abundance of caution. Arlington Public Schools posted on their Facebook page, “All students and staff are safe. Please do not come to any schools at this time.”

The person in crisis was found in South Snohomish County at approximately 10:00 am and is being referred for the appropriate evaluation and care necessary.
