They’re inviting the public to share and be involved, bearing in mind that “no one knows better than you, the community, what is needed in a community hub on Casino Road. Attend this meeting and let us know what you want YOUR hub to be like.”With enough feedback from the meeting, a conceptual design for the space will hopefully come about.The Casino Road community has the highest poverty rate in the county. The Casino Road Initiative’s website notes that their goal is to end the intergenerational cycle of poverty in the area.The meeting will be held Tuesday, April 17th at 6:00 PM at the Horizon Middle School located at 222 W Casino Rd. They’re offering Spanish translation for speakers, limited childcare (no babies in diapers) and refreshments.
