Moms run the world. Without them, none of us would be here. They cook, clean house, do laundry, take care of the day-to-day activities for their children and families. In today’s world many also work full-time outside of the home. Add this to one more responsibility including driving carpool and getting kids to sports practices and going to teacher meetings. So do something special for them. And speaking from personal experience, what they want most is spending time with you.
Mother’s Day approaches quickly. This coming Sunday, May 5th, Marysville is again putting on the annual Mother Lovin’ Markt. It is happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Rd. in Marysville. There will be over 50 vendors offering handmade or homegrown items. The City of Marysville will host the market outdoors and inside the Rotary Ranch and Red Barn buildings. The event is free to attend and will be held rain or shine.
“This event brings together women and families to enjoy vendors that provide a wide variety of items for everyone to enjoy,” said Recreation Supervisor Kristen Rasmussen. “Some of the participating vendors make jewelry, handbags, pottery, and various forms of artwork. There will be several vendors bringing plants and flowers, skincare and bath products, and an array of home décor items. Come support local businesses, including their very own local 3rd Street merchant, Old Soul.”
No cooking or cleanup required, everyone can grab a slice and enjoy homemade pizza from Gusto Wood Fired Pizza food truck or a sweet treat from BZ’s Mini Donuts. Joca Coffee food truck will be on-site to make delicious coffee drinks.
It’s a great opportunity to have the whole family together. You can see the full list of vendors at Mother Lovin’ Market. For more information, call the Parks, Culture and Recreation Office at 360-363-8400.
The event is made possible by the generous support of Chiro One Wellness Centers.
