Ditch the Junk on March 9th at Everett’s Recycling Event

Everett residents are invited to drop off hard-to-recycle household items at the recycling collection event on Saturday, March 9th.

The City of Everett is hosting a recycling collection event for Everett residents on Saturday, March 9, starting at 9:00 am and ending when capacity is reached or at 3:00 pm. The event will take place in Lot B of Everett Station, located south of 3201 Smith Avenue.

“Recycling is such an important component of environmental sustainability, helping us to reduce waste and conserve non-renewable resources,” said Cassie Franklin, mayor of the City of Everett. “Events like this are just one way the City of Everett is working toward a greener and more sustainable future.”

For this event, the City of Everett will be accepting a variety of hard-to-recycle household items. Before attending, please review Full List of what will be accepted, which includes information on volume limits and processing fees for items that are more expensive to recycle.

The recycling collection event was made possible due to support from Everett’s Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance (LSWFA) grant from the Washington Department of Ecology. This event is anticipated to divert approximately 60 tons of recyclable household items from the landfill.
