James Arneson was well known in the area as a founding member of the Crossroads Quartet a Barbershop Gospel Quartet. On the night of March 14, 2012, James and his son Theory were headed north on Highway 9 to the family’s hobby farm in Arlington. They were singing gospel tunes together on the radio, when out of nowhere they were hit head-on by a drunk driver. James was killed instantly and Theory suffered broken vertebrae, sternum and ribs and the heartbreak of losing his best friend. Cheryl and Theory talk about that night and the life of James Arneson.
