EVERETT & MARYSVILLE, AUG. 15: Marysville officers responded to a reported kidnapping just after 5 p.m. yesterday at the 1500 block of 9th St. in Marysville.
Officers responded to a call about an adult male, 51 years old, who opened the rear door of an occupied parked vehicle, claiming the child inside was his.
There was an altercation between the father and the subject, and the father pushed the subject away from the vehicle.
The mother, who was inside the car, locked the vehicle doors at this time. The father continued to shove the suspect away. The suspect eventually got into his vehicle and fled the area.
The Everett man was charged with attempted kidnapping, 2nd degree. He is currently in the Snohomish County Jail.
