Firefighters Battle Smokey Fire Under Trestle

Everett Firefighters made short work of a smokey motor home fire that sent a plume of smoke curling over the Hewitt Avenue Trestle mid-morning on Friday. Firefighters from downtown Station One responded shortly after 9:00 am and found the motor home fully involved. The fire was in a make-shift homeless encampment located under the westbound trestle on California and Hewitt Avenues, near the Nelson Petroleum pump station. There were no reported injuries and the motor home was deemed a total loss. (Thanks to KRKO listener Jerry Wynne for the photo). Check back later for more updates.
