Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation’s Popcorn in the Park Outdoor Movies return beginning Saturday, July 13th. All showings are free to
the public, start around nine PM, and are shown at Jennings Park in Marysville.
The popcorn is free, but prepare for the evening by packing a picnic supper, low backed chairs and some blankets from home. There’s food for purchase,
too, in case you didn’t bring enough.
This year, Popcorn in the Park has a couple fun changes. You can now enter to win a VIP Movie Pass, which includes the closest parking spot, premium screentime
placement (front and center, with plenty of elbow room) and a fully loaded movie snack package. To enter, take a pic for Instagram, hashtagged #jenningsparkmovies
with the weekly challenge and wait.
If you’re down to make an entire evening of it, this year, beginning at 7pm at each showing, Marysville Parks, Culture and Rec will also be hosting a special
activity prior to the movie. That is to include local organizations, businesses and kids’ entertainment groups.
From MPCR, here’s the line up and what you can expect, activity-wise:
