Once again, Heidi May of KRKO and KXA Radio will be hosting the 2024 Elvis Challenge Saturday, May 4th at 7:30 pm at the Historic Everett Theatre. Last year’s winner was Nick Poling, and he will return as a special guest and sing several songs with the band. This is a wonderful, fun event you don’t want to miss.
Kentucky Rain Band’s Elvis Challenge is a competition to find the region’s best Elvis Impersonator. Contestants will be judged on four categories as they compete for prizes: vocal performance, costume and appearance, stage presence, and audience response. All performers will be backed by Kentucky Rain Band, the Northwest’s #1 Elvis Tribute Artist & Rock-n-Roll Band, based in Everett, WA. Heidi May has been a fixture in the Seattle radio market, previously spending time at KBSG, KJR-FM, KMPS, and Q104.5. Heidi is a Breast Cancer Survivor and has raised thousands of dollars towards finding a cure. As an avid music fan, Heidi had a great time being involved with the Elvis Challenge for the first time in 2023 and is excited to return.
Nick Poling of Marysville, WA was crowned the 2023 Elvis Challenge Champion. He wowed the crowd with his hip-shaking “young Elvis” rendition of “Blue Suede Shoes” followed up with his “jumpsuit era Elvis” version of “My Way.” Although he has performed for years locally as a singer and actor, this event was the first time Nick had taken on his Elvis persona. Since winning the contest, Nick has launched his career as an Elvis Tribute Artist, performing several shows in the Seattle area. He’s excited to return as champion and sing some of his favorite Elvis songs.
