According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) detectives responded to a fatal collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of 204th Street SW and 28th Ave. W just east of Lynnwood.

The victim was a 58-year-old Everett man who was found deceased at the scene. The Everett man was driving a Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on 204th street SW at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the intersection of 28th Ave. W. resulting in a t-bone collision with a Mercedes Benz GI, according to the CIU detectives.

In addition to the driver of the Camaro, two adult passengers who were in the vehicle were sent to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The second vehicle involved in the collision was carrying two adults and two children, all four were transported by air to Providence Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The road was closed late into the night while the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the CIU detectives continued their investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office concluded their statement by stating that positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
