Wondering if you can still watch the fireworks?  Yes, you can and play all day.  KXA Classic Country (101.1 FM and 1520 AM) is proud to be partnering with The City of Marysville who got out of the box and has come up with a wonderful day of safe events.  Do your thing and then upload your shenanigans.  You can enter the Patriotic Pet Contest (subject to your furry friend’s attitude), Here’s Looking at You Marysville contest with family photos in the American Spirit, It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood for your decorated yard, or for you bakers – do your best to recreate Caketastic’s 4th of July cakes.   For full details of how to enter these and for many other 4th of July activities visit

After your hot dogs, have fun watching the fireworks.  Marysville has moved the display further south this year so more people will be able to see them from home.  If possible, please enjoy them from your front or backyard, balcony or deck.  The best viewing will be south of 4th Street in Marysville.  There are many vantage points for viewing including Ebey Park and Harborview Park, but PLEASE NOTE: All parks will be closing at dusk! These parking lots will fill up quickly, especially if people have had a picnic earlier and stayed for the fireworks.  If you do try for a spot here, please remain with your family or group in your vehicle and practice safe social distancing during this difficult time.  A great alternative would be to park on Cedar between 1st and 3rd.  The fireworks will be synchronized to music and broadcast live on KXA Classic Country beginning at approximately 10:00 PM.  Be sure to tune in early to your radio dial at 101.1 FM or 1520 AM to not miss a second of excitement.  You can also stream them on and by downloading the app.
