The Naval Base in Everett will be conducting security exercises on Wednesday, March 28th. They’re warning the public in advance, because if
you’re in the vicinity you may “see or hear activities associated with the exercise such as loudspeaker announcements, active emergency responders,
or flashing lights.”
The Visitor Control Center by the main gate will be closing 30 minutes early at 2 pm and the parking lot will also be closed to traffic.
“These regularly scheduled exercises help maintain and improve qualifications of emergency response personnel who are responsible for protecting the safety
and security of the Navy base, homeported vessels, and surrounding maritime environment.”
Access to the main gate will not be affected.
