We would like to pass along a very heartfelt thank you to all our readers and listeners. Thursday afternoon, August 27th at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, WA, our community came together to support our fellow friends and families with a fabulous food drive. We wish to thank all who participated by answering this call of need.

Foremost and most importantly, thank you, to each, and every one of you who brought a bag of food, put $5 in the hat, showed off your car, or just grabbed a bite to eat.  Without all of you, this would not have been possible.

The Evergreen State Fair provided the site and helped sponsor this event alongside Snohomish County Parks and Recreation.  KRKO-FM and KXA-AM were proud to have been a part of this event.  So very special thanks to Stitch Mitchell of Classic Country KXA and Tim Hunter of Greatest Hits KRKO for their interviews and involvement in this important event. Also, Tom Lafferty (Sports), Ted Buehner (Weather), and Michael Sparacio (Traffic), for promoting this all week long.  And to the entire Everett Post Team working behind the scene for their efforts, support and assistance.

With help from Volunteers of America Western Washington and the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition, these donations will be distributed countywide according to need.  Please support and thank these great organizations.
