Catch a day of tail-wagging fun at the 17th Annual Mutt Strut! New tricks are on tap for the expanded 2018 event. Bring your canine family members
along and enjoy more of just about everything during longer hours this year — from parking to activities to refreshments.

Schedule of Events

Vendor Booths

  • Interactive vendor booths open all day.
  • Pick up a passport at the Welcome Tent.

Demonstration Stage

  • 10:30am – Washington State Animal Response Team
  • 11am – Keep the Tail Wagging. Learn about raw feeding from blogger Kimberly Gauthie.
  • 12:30pm – Celebrity appearance by Noodle the Dog
  • 12:50pm – Healing Ministry for Animals. Dr. Nels will talk about his healing methods for paralyzed animals or animals with mobility issues.
  • 1:20pm – Your Dog and Heatstroke presented by the Everett Animal Shelter
  • 1:45pm – Beck’s Place
  • 2:10pm – EASE Animal Massage at Home. Pam Logan will share how to massage your animal at home.

Walks

  • 10:10am – Meet at the shelter for the traditional riverside Mutt Strut
  • 11:45am – Line up for the Senior Pet Parade leading to an air-conditioned senior pet lounge featuring dog beds by Bailey’s Pet Beds. Grand Marshal
    Judith & Lee Piper, Founders of Old Dog Haven.

Contests

  • 12:15pm – Doggie Cake Walk 1. Participants receive a pupcake and the winner gets a cake from Puddles Barkery.
  • 11:30am – Dachshund Dash races
  • 2:35pm – Doggie Cake Walk 2 with same prizes as above

Free fun stuff – bring the kids!

  • 10am-noon – Caricature art (of dogs or people) by Steve Hartley of MuggShotz
  • 12:30-2pm – Face painting by Clownarific

Refreshments

  • 10am – Food trucks open
  • 11am-4pm – Housing Hope Beer Garden (last call 3:30pm)

Special features

  • 11am-4:40pm – Older dog (age 8+) adoptions. Adoptions include a goodie bag valued at $100 available until 3:45pm at the Save-a-Mutt booth.
  • A special vehicle will be in the demo area displaying a thermometer showing just how quickly your car can heat up in the hot sun.
