The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) returned to Everett on Friday, Sept. 24, after a deployment to U.S. 7th and 3rd Fleet areas of operation. Did you know that the USS Kidd (DDG 100) is the third Navy ship named after Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd who was on board Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor and was the first American flag officer to die in World War II? The ship is part of Destroyer Squadron 23 of Carrier Strike Force 23.
