About Tim Hunter

For over 30 years, Tim Hunter has played a lot on the radio. Cutting his radio teeth at KCMU when the radio station was at the University of Washington, then heading over to Yakima for a 3-year tour of local stations. Next stop, spending 4 years as the producer for Larry Nelson at KOMO radio and then 19 years at 92.5-KLSY radio as the middle man of the morning show, Murdock, Hunter & Alice. Oh, and there was that one-year stint at “The Wolf.”

Tim wedges in sleep in-between running his own company, Tim Hunter Creative Services while also acting as the Chief Creative Officer of Create Impulse, a Bothell-based advertising agency. He writes, directs, and does voice-overs for clients in several North American markets.

Every morning at 4 am, Tim gets up to write for radio morning shows around the world as a contributing writer to Radio Online’s Daily Show Prep. For ten years, Hunter was a contributing writer for Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show” monologues. He continues to spread his comedy around, writing material for ventriloquist Mark Merchant, as well as a political cartoonist and comic strip author Steve Kelley. He and former KLSY staff member Frank Shiers teamed up to create a cartoon of their own, Ima Norwegian.

His Norwegian ways began 13 years ago when he met his wife, Victoria. Since then, he’s become a member of the Leif Erikson Lodge, Norwegian Commercial Club, the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, and the Nordic Heritage Museum, as well as a board member for the Leif Erikson Lodge and Norse Home. He’s the emcee for the annual N.A.C.C. Juleboard, an announcer for the Syttende Mai parade in Ballard and has actually emceed 15 Lutefisk eating contests.
