2022-2023 KRKO Russell & Hill Female High School Student Athlete of the Year-Alivia White-Marysville Pilchuck High School.


The 2022-2023 KRKO Russell & Hill Female High School Student Athlete of the Year is outstanding athlete Alivia White of Marysville Pilchuck High School.

In her senior season, White became the first female wrestler to win three state championships. Alivia ended her high school career with a 113-2 record, including going 12-0 with 11 pins at the Mat Classic in the Tacoma Dome. She was 34-0 her senior season; including taking just 50 seconds to pin her opponent in the state title tilt.

White received the National Wrestling Coaches Association and United States Marine Corps High School Scholar All-American Award. She graduated with a 3.84 GPA and was National Honor Society president at M.P.

Alivia will continue her wrestling career at the hot-bed of collegiate wrestling, The University of Iowa. Where she will be a pioneer for the first-ever Power Five Conference school to offer women’s wrestling.

Besides wrestling; White was also on the Tomahawks’ Cheer Squad.

Girls Wrestling Coach at Marysville Pilchuck is Alivia’s mom Andie White; Cheer Coach is Twila Hammontree; Athletic Director is John Hodgins.

The award was presented at the 2023 Snohomish County Sports Hall of Fame Banquet on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at The Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett.
