Congratulations to Brandon Bach of Mountlake Terrace High School, he is our KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month for May 2019. At
just 5’7” he doesn’t necessarily fit the mold of your typical Track & Field Thrower. Brandon won the 2019 2A State Javelin Championship with
a throw of 183′ 2″ in the pouring rain. He finished in 3rd Place at state as a junior and won the 2017 State Championship with a throw of 187′
10″. His Personal Record is 196′ 1″ back in 2018. Brandon overcame adversity this year with a broken foot at the end of football season and was
in a walking cast for 10 weeks. He was a 2018 All League Wide Receiver and Punter; 2017 All League Kick Returner and 2017 All State Punter. Brandon
will be competing in the USA Track & Field U20 Outdoor Championships in Miramar, Florida in June. He was coached at Mountlake Terrace by Russ
Vincent, a former All American in Shot Put at the University of Washington. He is undecided on where he will be attending college in the fall.
