Jetlynn Hau of the Stanwood High School Swim & Dive Team is our KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Female Athlete of the Month for October 2019. Her list
of swimming accomplishments are a mile long: Jetlynn was the 2018 3A State Champion in the 100 yard breaststroke; 2017 3A 3rd place at state in the
100 yard breaststroke; 2016 3A 3rd place at state in the 100 yard breaststroke; 8th at state last year in the 200 individual medley; 11th at state
last year in the 200 individual medley relay. She also broke the meet record in the 100 yard breaststroke at the 29-school Mukilteo Invite on September
28th at the King County Aquatic Center. Jetlynn has taken swimming recruiting trips to Cornell and Cal Tech and has also had conversations with George
Washington and Kenyon College. Her college choice is so far undecided but has interest in STEM based programs and says she might pursue an degree in
one of those fields: Mentioned Biology and Engineering during our interview. The State Swimming District Championships are this weekend; the State
Championships next weekend, November 15th and 16th. Congratulations Jetlynn. Swim coach at Stanwood is Rita Peterson.
