Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for December 2021 is Jackson junior basketball player Sylas Williams. The 6′ 6″ junior was named First-Team All Wesco 4A for 2021-22 while he averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Timberwolves. Sylas led Jackson to an 8-1 record in the month of December; their only loss was a 3-point defeat to Curtis, the team that would go on to win the state championship. Jackson ended the season with a 14-10 overall record; one game short of the State Regionals. Jackson High School boys basketball coach is Steve Johnson.
