Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for March 2022 is junior pitcher Kale Hammer of the Snohomish Panthers baseball team. Already in the month of March Kale sported a 3-0 record and a 0.00 ERA through four games pitched; going 21 1/3 innings; allowing just 9 hits; 43 strikeouts and just 9 walks. He registered double digit strikeouts in his last 3 games and struck out a Snohomish record-tying 17 batters against Stanwood. Only a junior, Hammer has already committed to play baseball at Gonzaga University. He is also the Snohomish starting quarterback and forward for the basketball team; in the summer he enjoys competitive slalom water skiing.
