Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for February 2024 is senior Karianne Baldwin of the Glacier Peak Grizzlies Girls Wrestling team. Karianne claimed her third consecutive state championship at the Washington State Mat Classic Wrestling Tournament held at the Tacoma Dome. With her third career title, Baldwin ties Marysville-Pilchuck’s Alivia White with three state championships from Snohomish County. Karianne defeated Chief Sealth senior Sophia Anderson 5-2 in the 125-pound bracket. She is also a two-time academic state champion with a 4.0 GPA. Baldwin went a perfect 50-0 in her senior year.
