Our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for January 2025 is senior wrestler for the Shorewood Stormrays Girls Wrestling team, Elisabeth (Libby) Norton. A four-year state participant at the Mat Classic Wrestling Meet; Libby finished third place in 2024, and in 2025 won the State 3A 105 pound championship. She ended the season with a 41-5 record after storming through the Tacoma Dome championship bracket with five straight pins. Norton will pursue wrestling at the collegiate level and will attend Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa in the fall. She will graduate from Shorewood with a 4.0 GPA. Head Wrestling Coach at Shorewood is Derek Norton (her dad); Athletic Director is Joann Fukuma; Shoreline District Athletic Director is Dan Dalziel.
