Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Female Student Athlete of the Month for October 2024; from the Jackson High School Girls Swim & Dive Team senior Olivia Hoyla. Olivia had a very busy State 4A Swim Meet in Federal Way; she placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.81); 3rd in the 200 individual medley (2:09.66); 3rd in the 400 freestyle relay (3:32.51) and 4th in the 100 backstroke (:59.03). That propelled the Timberwolves to a third place finish in state. She was district champion in all her events in 2024. During her high school swimming career, Hoyla’s Jackson teams finished in the top five each years. Olivia has committed to attend Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California in the fall, and will swim for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College swim team (combined with Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College).
