Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for February 2024; from the Lake Stevens High School Swim & Dive team, junior, Camden Blevins-Mohr. Camden won a pair of 4A state swimming individual championships and anchored a Viking relay team to another state title at the 2024 Washington State Swim & Dive Championships held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Blevins-Mohr won the 100-yard fly with a time of 49.07, beating a swimmer from Issaquah by 0.07 seconds; he won the 50 free with a time of 20.89, out-touching a swimmer from Sumner by 0.09 seconds. He was joined by junior Coren Coe, sophomore Samuel Lamb and freshman Sebastian Erickson on the state champion 200 free relay. They took the event with a time of 1:26.52; besting the Newport team by 1.07 seconds. Head boys swim & dive coach at Lake Stevens is Brady Dykgraaf; athletic director is Jason Pearson.
