Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for March 2024 is senior Ethan Ralston of the Lakewood High School Boys Track & Field team. Ethan won the 2A boys championship in the shot put with a throw of 59-0; nearly two feet better than his opponent from Tumwater who threw 56-11 1/4. Coming into the 2A/3A/4A State Track Meet at Mount Tahoma Stadium his previous personal best was 57-4 1/4. Ethan has committed to compete in Track & Field at Central Washington University next year. The head track coach at Lakewood is Jeff Sowards; athletic director is Amy Hendry.
