Congratulations to our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for November 2024; from the Lake Stevens High School Football Team, senior running back Jayshon Limar. Lake Stevens won their 10th straight Wesco 4A title this past season (and went undefeated in league play during that time) and the Vikings made it all the way to the state quarterfinals. Limar was also a member of the Lake Stevens back-to-back state champion teams in 2022 and 2023, his sophomore and junior seasons. For the 2024 season he rushed for 1,299 yards and 24 touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 423 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was named First Team 4A All-State Running Back by the Washington State Football Coaches Association. He carried a 3.8 gpa at Lake Stevens. Jayshon announced recently that he has committed to Western Oregon University (Monmouth OR) to play football next year. His older brother Jayden currently plays football at the University of Oregon.
