Our KRKO Russell & Hill Male Student Athlete of the Month for October 2024 is sophomore ambulatory cross country runner Ramon Little of Arlington High School. Ramon finished in second place at the 2024 State Cross Country Meet Ambulatory Race at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco. He finished the course in 13:20; 23 seconds behind the three-time defending state champion Jacob Hopkins of Cascade (a previous KRKO Russell & Hill Athlete of the Month). Little’s time was the 2nd fastest ever on the course; besting Hopkins’ 2023 state championship time. (Of Note: Ramon competed on a conventional lower leg prosthetic during this meet; but recently began a series of fittings for a new cross-country running blade, which should be ready to go for the spring track season).
