The November 2019 recipient of the KRKO Radio Russell & Hill Male Athlete of the Month is Lakewood High School Football Player senior Riley Krueger.
Riley played linbebacker for the Lakewood Cougars team that went all the way to the Class 2A Quarterfinals before losing to the defending state champions
Hockinson Hawks 29-28. In the Cougars’ District win over Liberty, he set the school record with 22 tackles. But, Riley is much more than just a football
player. He is carrying a 3.87 grade point average; and he plays Alto Saxophone in the Lakewood Jazz Band and Trombone in the Concert Band. Lakewood
Football Coach Dan Teeter and Band Director Katy Trapp shared Riley’s services on homecoming night when he put on his band shako and marched at halftime,
before going into the locker room (pictured). Congratulations Riley!
