While we all look forward to the annual Farmers’ Markets, the season is looking a little late this year. Normally, they operate May through October. With May 1st falling last Sunday, coupled with a very cool, wet April, crops are also slightly behind. Many are now planning on opening in June.

However, do not be distraught. There are quite a few debuting this week, leading into Sunday, May 8th, just in time for that annual Mother’s Day excursion. A sampling include:

Miller’s Produce at Carleton Farms – Open Daily Monday-Saturday, from 10:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday from 10:00 – 5:00pm They are at 630 Sunnyside Blvd SE, Lake Stevens.

Snohomish Farmers Market – Open Thursdays May 5 – October from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. It is located at Glen & Union Avenues in downtown historic Snohomish.

Arlington Farmers Market – Open Saturdays May 7 – September from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Visit them at 114 N. Olympic, Arlington. In October, November, and December, they host holiday markets.

Edmonds Museum Summer Market – Open Saturdays May 7 – October 8, from 9:00am – 2:00 pm. They are at 118 5th Avenue N, Edmonds.

Woodinville Farmers Market – Open Saturdays beginning May 7 – September from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Find them at 13205 NE 175th St, Woodinville, next to the District Flats Apartments with free parking in the District Flats garage.

Everett Farmers Market – Open Sundays beginning May 8 – October from 11:00am – 3:00pm.  For senior and high-risk individuals, early entry begins at 10:30 am. Enter at Hewitt & Wetmore or Pacific & Wetmore in Everett.

These are a few opening this week. May more are coming in June. For a comprehensive list see WA State Farmers Markets and click on any city for more information.
