Wilson is an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing in at about 45 pounds.  He belongs to a traveling critical care nurse who is helping us all combat Covid-19.

He has no collar but is chipped.  He travels with Leandra Essman, his nurse owner, and has now been missing since November 7, 2020.

He was last seen in the North State Street area of Bellingham, though his original home was in Lake Stevens.  He may be trying to return to that home.  There is a lot of woodland area in between and he could be anywhere along the I-5 corridor.

Anyone coming into contact with this beautiful, and missed dog, is asked to reach out to his Facebook page at or to who is involved in the search for this very missed and loved pup.

Please remember, there are so many wonderful stories of these dear family members being reunited with their rightful mentors, even months later.  Let’s help make this one of those special stories.  Please keep your eyes and ears open for Wilson.

Wilson may be tired, lonely, wet, and lost.  Should you encounter him, please provide him with food and water, dry him off with a towel, and provide him with a warm environment to rest in, while you contact those who can help reunite Leandra and Wilson.
