The Everett Salmon Association also known as the Everett Coho Derby is holding its 27th annual Everett Coho Derby on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday September 20. This year’s event will have two weigh-in locations; The Port of Everett facilities at 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett WA 98201 and the Port of Edmonds Marina, 336 Admiral Way, Edmonds WA 98020.

“In these trying times of 2020, the organizers of the Everett Coho Derby felt that it was important to proceed with the Derby to maintain some sort of normalcy,” said Derby Chairman Dave Miller on the official Everett Coho Derby website.

Miller went on further to explain that due to COVID-19 the Derby had to adapt parts of their usual tournament to ensure participants and volunteers are safe. “We have worked closely with the Port of Everett, the Port of Edmonds, and the Snohomish County Health Dept,” said Miller.

According to the Derby website, ticket sales will close on Friday September 18 at the close of normal business hours for the retail outlet. Store tickets will only be available Saturday, September 19 from 4 am to 8 am at Harbor Marine located at 1032 West Marine View Dr. Everett, WA 98201. Online tickets will close on Friday, September 19 at 11 p.m. visit the Derby website to see a full list of ticket sale locations.

First place champion brings home a $5,000 cash prize, second place $2,500, third place $1,500, fourth place $1,000 and fifth place $500.
