The new Mukilteo Ferry Terminal will open at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December, 29, 2020. However, before the terminal can open, service on the Mukilteo/Clinton route will be suspended from 1 a.m. on Dec. 29 until 5:35 p.m. for Clinton departures and until 6:10 p.m. for Mukilteo departures.

Construction crews need the 18-hour closure of the route to move key marine structures from the old terminal one-third of a mile away to the new one.

Customers will need to find an alternate route should they plan to travel that day. Travelers can use Deception Pass on State Route 20 to get to and from Whidbey Island, while other ferry alternatives include using the Edmonds/Kingston or Port Townsend/Coupeville routes.
