Being a media source, we receive numerous new releases from dozens of agencies, including food recall notices. These used to be seldom but as of late seem to be increasingly frequent. Lesser ones we try to get up on Facebook.
There are a few current ones which deserve attention. Here they are along with links, and a way to track them on the Washington State recall site. WA State DOH Food Recalls. It might be a good idea to check this site often. While we enjoy safe and fresh food here, the supply chain issues seem to have exacerbated this.
Raw Ground Beef Recalled
Interstate Meat Distributors Inc. of Clackamas, Oregon is recalling approximately 28,356 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The products were produced on December 20, 2021, and sold under the WinCo, Walmart, Kroger, and Albertsons brands.
The products subject to recall bear “EST. 965” within the USDA mark of inspection and include the following:

Dole Packaged Salads
Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is recalling select Dole-branded and private label packaged salads containing iceberg lettuce and processed at its Springfield, OH or Soledad, CA production facilities due to a health risk from Listeria monocytogenes. Recalled salad items from the Soledad facility were distributed in Washington. The recalled iceberg lettuce salad mixes distributed to Washington are packaged under Dole, Marketside, HEB, and President’s Choice brand names. The list is extensive and can be found at Dole Recall.
