March 29th, 2019—Everett’s Greatest Hits, KRKO, is going to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the big Jetty Island concert
this coming Monday morning with a very special broadcast.

“Return of the Jetty…..Island Concert” will features song and interviews with artists, promoters, security
guards and North Sound residents who attended that two-day music celebration on Jetty Island on April 1st and 2nd, 1972.

From the recently discovered long-lost tapes, you’ll enjoy live performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Paul McCartney,
James Taylor, Chicago and, of course, the headliner, Mungo Jerry. Tim plans interviews with Sir Paul, the head of security, and even Fred Mungo
of Mungo Jerry. KRKO’s Morning Mouth will also chat with Claudia Graham, the grand-daughter of the concert’s sound engineer who secretly recorded
this historic music event. You’ll also hear stories of the people who were there for the concert that set the standard for all other music festivals
except Woodstock.

The three-hour celebration can be heard Monday morning from 6-9am, with an encore performance from 6-9pm. Technically speaking, you’ll have two
opportunities to catch this once-in-a-lifetime broadcast.

KRKO can be heard on 1380-AM and, in Everett, on 95.3-FM. For the greater Puget Sound area, we recommend either streaming the station on KRKO.com
or, asking your Smart Speaker to “Play KRKO.” Both Alexa and Google Home will know what to do.

All of us at Everett’s Greatest Hits hope you’ll note the date on Monday and join us for this fun celebration!
