Nighttime closures of the Boeing Freeway – State Route 526 – are planned for Monday, March 22nd thru Friday March 26th.

On Monday the 22nd through Wednesday the 24th, both directions of the Boeing Freeway between Seaway Boulevard and Airport Road will close from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM each night with traffic detoured onto Casino Road.

On Wednesday the 24th to the morning of Friday the 26th, the northbound I-5 off-ramps to the Boeing Freeway as well as State Route 527 will close from 9 PM to 5 AM each night with a signed detour via I-5 at 41st Street – the next available exit – to return to southbound I-5 and ultimately the Boeing Freeway.

The Washington State Department. of Transportation has maps that show the various planned detour routes.

This project involves replacing an old sign bridge with a new one over the freeway, and another sign bridge on the northbound I-5 off-ramp to both the Boeing Freeway and State Route 527.

To minimize impact to traffic movement, Washington State Department. of Transportation contractor crews will do this work during overnight hours. For motorists that use the Boeing Freeway including those at the Everett Boeing facility, prepare for overnight delays while traffic is detoured to avoid the work zones.

People who use State Route 526 near the Everett Boeing facility should prepare for overnight and early-morning delays next week while traffic is detoured around a work zone closure.

Motorists can always obtain the latest traffic information with the WSDOT traffic app on their smart phone.
