Everett, WA, April 22, 2019—The VOAWW Board of Directors proudly announces that Dr. Steven Corsi has accepted the position of President/CEO and is
due to start May 15, 2019.Dr. Corsi comes to us as a very experienced senior executive, business leader and clinical professional.He has an impressive
record of success in executive management and public relations, business development, service expansion and process improvement.Over the past 13 years
he has served as Director of the Missouri Department of Social Services and Director of the Wyoming Department of Family Services.Prior to that Steven
served as Executive Director of High Country Behavioral Health, also in Wyoming.He served in the Air Force and currently serves as Medical Operations
Officer of the Wyoming Army National Guard.

  • Throughout his career, Dr. Corsi has repeatedly demonstrated exceptional executive leadership skills and an ability to build relationships with key
    stakeholders.

Mr. Phil Smith, who has served as President/CEO of Volunteers of America Western Washington for the last ten years, will transition into a new role.When
Dr. Corsi comes onboard, Mr. Smith will become the Chief Strategic Officer of the organization with an initial focus on supporting the advancement
of the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, which is slated to open in late 2021.Mr. Smith will assist with the new CEO’s transition noting that, “It is a
tremendous honor to continue to serve this agency and the community as Chief Strategic Officer. I am excited to support Dr. Corsi and look forward
to sharing the strategic direction and momentum of our agency’s services.I would also like to thank the over 400 professional staff who continue to
amaze me with their dedication, selflessness and compassion to help others.”
